Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what Prism (the "Service"), operated by SOL Global Strategies LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("SOL", "we"), collects, why, and your choices. It applies to the Prism website and tools.

1. Information we collect

When you create an account and use Prism, we collect:

• Email address — to create your account and send one-time sign-in ("magic") links.
• First and last name — provided when you complete your profile.
• Phone number (optional) — only if you choose to provide it (e.g. to unlock additional monthly lookups). See "Marketing" below.
• Occupation and reason for using Prism — to understand our users and improve the product.
• Company (optional).
• Property addresses you query — the addresses you enter to run a valuation or comparable-sales lookup.
• Questions you ask in the chat — the text of your questions, kept with your account and the conversation they belong to, so we can see which questions Prism answers well and where it falls short. Your chat stays in the page only for the current conversation: reloading or closing the page clears it from your browser.
• Assumptions you enter in the calculators — the figures you type into a tool such as purchase price, down payment, mortgage rate, rent, growth rate and holding period, together with the edits you make to them, kept with your account. We use them to see which assumptions people are actually working with and where our own figures are furthest from theirs. The calculation itself runs in your browser.
• Usage events — which features you use, lookups performed, quota consumption, and interest signals (e.g. requesting more lookups).
• IP address and basic technical data — collected automatically for security and rate-limiting.

We also assign a random anonymous identifier ("anon_id"), stored in your browser, to measure and analyse activity on the site — including for visitors who have not signed in. If you later create an account, this identifier may be associated with it so we can understand how first-time visitors become users.

2. Why we use it

• To provide the Service, authenticate you, and enforce fair-use quotas.
• To operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service and our models.
• To understand demand (including interest in paid features) and communicate with you about your account.
• To comply with law and enforce our Terms.

3. Third-party processors

We share data with service providers who process it on our behalf, under their own terms and privacy policies:

• Supabase — authentication and database (account, profile, usage records).
• Vercel — website and API hosting; processes requests and server logs (including IP).
• AI model providers — process the queries you submit to generate answers and embeddings/retrieval.
• Esri — geocoding of the property addresses you enter.
• U.S. Census Bureau — public data used for geocoding and market context.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Cookies and local storage

We use browser local storage and essential cookies to keep you signed in (your session), remember your language preference, and operate the Service. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

5. Data retention

To operate and improve our services, we retain the queries you submit and use them for internal analysis. We do not sell this data and do not use it for advertising or share it with unrelated third parties; it is processed only by our service providers (e.g., AI and hosting) as needed to deliver the service. Query data is retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described above.

Account and profile data are kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for legal, security, and record-keeping purposes.

6. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can request these by contacting us. Providing a phone number is optional, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

These privacy rights apply based on where you reside and are not affected by the governing-law choice in our Terms of Service. For example, if you are a California resident, California's privacy laws (including the CCPA/CPRA) continue to apply to how we handle your personal information regardless of that governing law.

7. Marketing (placeholder)

We do not currently use your phone number for marketing calls or text messages. Any future marketing calls or SMS would require your separate, explicit opt-in consent, and you could withdraw it at any time. Providing your phone number to unlock lookups is not consent to marketing contact.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy; material changes will be reflected by a new version and date above. Questions or requests: info@solgstr.com.

v1.1 (2026-08): the collection list in section 1 now names the questions you ask in the chat. What we keep did not change — those questions were already retained under "Data retention" — the list simply says so explicitly.

v1.2 (2026-08): section 1 adds the assumptions you enter in the calculators. Unlike v1.1, this is a genuinely new category — nothing of the kind was collected before — and it exists because the "Run your numbers" tool went live. The numbers are used to improve the tool and to understand demand; the calculation itself never leaves your browser.
